Recently, I’ve converted the Palm PC 2 You website encoding from windows-1256 to UTF-8, using my script vCharset Converter.
Surviving a corrupted database!

The admin of Ramallah Land Forums had phoned me on Dec 12, 2008 asking whether I can fix the corrupted database of his forums. The corruption was particularly in the character set. and occurred because of bad practice making backups of the database through phpMyAdmin.
